The Role

Reporting to our People & Talent Lead, you’ll:

  • Run the 360 interview process for junior to mid-level roles—coordinating interviews, ensuring scorecard completion, and keeping hiring processes on track from kick-off to final offer.
  • Conduct initial qualifying calls for junior to mid-level roles, assessing candidate fit against the role requirements and Odin’s values, while delivering a thoughtful and high-quality first touchpoint.
  • Own interview scheduling across all roles, setting up interviews via Google Calendar and our ATS, and ensuring a seamless, well-communicated candidate journey.
  • Support the People & Talent Lead in sourcing for hard-to-fill or business-critical roles, using outbound outreach, referrals, and creative tactics to attract high-quality candidates.
  • Proactively build talent pipelines and map the market for key roles, ensuring we’re always ahead of future hiring needs and shortening time-to-hire.
  • Support onboarding to ensure new joiners have a smooth, well-organised experience from offer to first day—including IT setup, equipment, and coordination across teams.
  • Maintain and update our HRIS (Deel), ensuring employee data, policies, and workflows are accurate, efficient, and easy for employees and managers to navigate.
  • Organise off-sites, team events, and socials that bring people together and reflect Odin’s culture and values.
  • Track benefits and learning & development usage, making sure employees are aware of available perks and that engagement is regularly reviewed.
  • Manage company swag, equipment, and perks, ensuring employees feel valued and have the tools they need to do their best work.
  • Support broader People & Talent projects across onboarding, engagement, employer brand, and team experience—ensuring initiatives are well-executed and drive real impact.

While your core focus will be in Talent-supporting hiring processes, qualifying, sourcing, and candidate experience—you’ll also take ownership of essential People Ops responsibilities, like maintaining our HRIS and supporting onboarding. To keep the workload healthy and sustainable, your priorities will shift with the business: some quarters may focus more on hiring, others on engagement, onboarding, or culture-building initiatives.

We’re looking for someone who thrives in a varied role, is excited to build breadth across People & Talent, and energised by supporting a growing, remote-first team.

About You

  • 2+ years of experience in Talent Acquisition—ideally in a startup, or high-growth environment where adaptability, speed, and high standards are critical
  • Proven experience in sourcing top talent with a high bar for excellence—you’re able to identify, engage, and excite candidates who meet not just the role requirements, but the quality and cultural standards of the business
  • Proactive, highly organised, and able to keep things running smoothly without needing constant direction
  • Detail-oriented and reliable, ensuring nothing slips through the cracks
  • Data-driven, comfortable working with people metrics, and ensuring accurate records across HR systems
  • A strong communicator—clear, concise, and approachable when engaging with employees, candidates, and leadership
  • Genuinely passionate about people and culture, with a focus on employee engagement, team experience, and fostering a connected, remote-first environment
  • A problem-solver who thrives on improving processes, spotting inefficiencies, and making things work better
  • Skilled at creating engaging content that strengthens employer brand and showcases company culture
  • Tech-savvy, with experience using an ATS or HRIS, or other people tools to streamline processes (Bonus if you’ve worked with both!)
  • Bonus: Some exposure to People Operations (onboarding, systems, employee experience), or a genuine interest in growing your skills in this area alongside Talent work

Your Location

We’re a remote-first team, but for this role, we’re specifically looking for someone based in the UK. Whilst there’s no requirement to come into an office, we do have one you can use, where some of the team work regularly. The People & Talent team gets together once a month, and we’d love for you to be part of those sessions to collaborate, connect, and help shape Odin’s culture.

The Hiring Process

  1. Initial Call: Meet with Imani, our People & Talent Lead, to discuss the role, your experience, and ensure alignment (20 mins)
  2. Deep Dive Interview: Another conversation with Imani, to unpack your experience and goals (1 hour)
  3. Take-Home Task & Follow-Up Call: Now that you're in the running, it's time to spend some time assessing how well you could do the role (2 hours)
  4. Final Interviews: Meet with Mary, one of our Founders, and Claire, our VP of Engineering for an in-depth discussion about our values & vision (1 hour)

Salary

The salary band for this role is £40,000 - £45,000 + equity options. During the hiring process, we’ll assess your experience and capabilities using our internal levelling framework to determine your starting salary.
